Combat gear for the New Year
Sunday. 1.13.08 2:10 am
Is it just my imagination or is everyone grouchy and combative? I find myself running into so many angry people or people that just want to start a fight. At work, co-workers are angry, upset and crabby. My boss is on the war path and now thinking of telling us that we are only allowed to take ONE sick day per month. How dumb is that? If you have the flu, tonsilitis, oral surgery or other minor illnesses you are only allowed to take ONE day. Um.. when I last checked my union contract I saw no such thing. So unless you plan on going against the whole union and union employees I would suggest you keep your idea(s) to yourself.
I should have asked for combat boots and gear this year because the crap is pretty thick!

yeah, I think it's the time of year... the holidays are over, everyone's back to work/school. The weather's blegck, and there doesn't seem to be much hope 'til at least mid March. Well, for the weather, anyhow.
It's crazy how much weather affects people.

The thing about the world these days is that everyone is bent on getting as rich as they can as fast as they can, and their mindset is "I'm going to do it and nobody's going to stand in my way." So the business world is all high-stress and full of assholes fighting to get a promotion and apparently fighting anyone else who crosses their path -_-
Lol I like your last line. . . just make sure you don't get caught up in the whole mess and start spreading the crap around too

A little late with the comment, but... I would like nothing more than to seriously maim certain people at work or at school or somewhere in public, etc., etc. But I don't act on that impulse and I try to suppress it when I feel it rising because you never know who will hit back.
If I only had one day of sick leave per month, I'd be screwed. That isn't even right. You never know when illness will strike, especially in America because lord knows people still go to work/school when they're sick and then they get everyone else sick and then I REALLY want to put the hurt on someone because I hate it when people get me sick!!!!
It's a cycle.

Your boss can't do that--he would be violating your FMLA rights--Family Medical Leave Act. If you go on that, there is nothing he can do and if he fires you, he is in deep shit. Keep your head up! Suggestion--if you can afford it, buy all of your coworkers some chocolates or energy drinks--get them high off of sugar and caffeine!!
