Worlds Forgoteen
by: Shadow Law

Worlds forgotten

It was a time when stillness was the god - silence in all things.

The earth was hushed in the light of the sun, as snow drifted quietly, wish-washing over itself in tides of grey and white. Geometric systems that rivaled the complexity of the universe would fall, and melt into eachother again and again, making something greater than the sum of the parts.

Eyes were left unshielded, as radiation slipped in between blankets of nitrogen and carbon dioxide. Warming in the oxygen rich glow of life, smiles were the currency of all. We couldn't help but live those dreams we shared while basking in the brilliance of solar winds - heat upon heat, that could melt the planet in moments.

It was a simple time, of laughter and ideas - whispers traded in the secrecy of the dark, in the safety of linen and cotton. And slowly we rose, to that place above all, nameless and proud. A mountain peek so terrifying, to shy away from it was instinctive. But all mountains are conquered in time.

And in the end, when the heavens crashed to the earth, and the seas boiled red, I couldn't help but laugh. Is not all life cyclical? Was the end not the beginning of the beginning? Karma nodded with approval, as the Lady of the Wind stepped forth - my shield and my sword. She was always with me.

The ground quaked and split, as fires rose to burn the sky. Clouds died away with sighs, as rain fell for the last time. As mist enshrouded once more. The planet shuddered, and the seas cried out loud. Trees grew and flowers bloomed, as we all laughed and smiled in that twilight time of old.

And hidden, somewhere in our double-helix of Memories and Passion, a place could be found, set aside for the moon and her glowing brilliance. A seaside sanctuary dedicated to all Hopes and Dreams; a place for Wishes to grow without the predator of Reality and its harsh companions.

Light escaped in solar flares, as the ozone and oxygen began to burn itself alive, sacrificing every last precious molecule in the name of Spring, and her return from Hades. But Fenrir had already arrived, and had promised her the sky. The world cried, as Spring left in the name of lies; and was once again embraced by the loving arms of Winter, and her lover, Anubis.

Eons passed in silence, as Oort clouds gathered around the collapsed sun for cool safety and assurance. Cosmic laughter echoed in exponential volumes of ice, never melting. Snow descended upon the land, as cherry blossom breezes whispered sighs into our ears. One last stand for dreams.

The earth was hushed in the light of the sun, as snow drifted quietly, wish-washing over itself in tides of grey and white. Geometric systems that rivaled the complexity of the universe would fall, and melt into eachother again and again, making something greater than the sum of the parts.

A mountain peek so terrifying, to shy away from it was instinctive. But all love prevails with time. All hearts. And in that world we created, a fantasy realm of impossible things - we were one. And in this world, a reality of infinite possibilities - we could be one.

Time is a ridiculous thing, always moving, never changing.
And it moves things. Changes things. And people too.
Don't let the world die...

...before it changes too much.

Stand for your hopes and dreams - because no one else will.
