Put in my time

I have been working like a dog during my vacation and I still have work piling up! I was thinking of going in to work tomorrow (sunday) just to catch up. Of course nobody will know that I am there therefore I will not get paid for it but I will have peace of mind at work on monday.

Is this a bad idea? Will this bring down my value at my job? Will my boss take me for granted even more because I did work for free??

It sounds like a plan, if your job depends on your work getting done.

If your boss is there, let him know that you're just doing it to ease your mind for Monday, or something similar.

I think if you don't do it all the time it wouldn't be taken for granted.

I think it's a good idea.
And how would your boss know you were there if you said no one would find out?

Well if they're taking advantage of you like that... I guess you should go in tomorrow, get caught up, stay on top of everything, and when it's time for you to go visit, say "I'M DONE WITH MY WORK!?!?!?!!!!!" *snap* :p

I say go for it. I agree with ikimashokie. And make sure you snap in the shape of a "Z" so they know you mean business.

Is it called being used
when you're just helping yourself out?

I see what you're saying, but here's the thing, you have to do it at one point or another. Whether you want to do it all during the week and have a day off tomorrow AND actually get paid for doing it, OR if you want to get some done tomorrow to ease the rest of your week out and not get paid for it,
well that's all up to you.
Either way it sucks. But if you're not gonna work tomorrow then take advantage of tomorrow. Like hardcore. That way when you start Monday, then you can get into the swing of things.

Actually, I'm starting to think it may be better if you DON'T go tomorrow...
Again, it's up to you.
