After talking with some people who are "experts" on Las Vegas I have decided to go with Aladdin. Right now it is being remodeled. By the time I go in April, the remodeling should be done. That sounds really good. I hear the food at Aladdin is also better than the Flamingo. The Flamingo is one of the first hotels if not the first hotel in Vegas built on the strip. It has never been remodeled so that was kind of a downer for me. I also just found out that Aladdin has a spa that has massage therapy, facials and they even do teeth whitening!!!
Here are some shots of the Aladdin:

psh, the aladdin is GREAT! It's got an underground mall with a rainstorm show (you'll know what I mean if you stick around for about an hour). It's also close to most of the other big chain hotels and Treasure Island (I've got a thing for pirates)!
I really don't like the flamingo. It's nicer than what it used to be but it's still pretty run down. I wouldn't have told you to stay there.
Are you going to see any shows? I would personally recommend the Blue Man group - but it's a real hit-and-miss type of deal. Everyone I've talked to about it either LOVES it or HATES it. I think they're far better live and I really enjoyed it.
Also, there's this buffet over at Paris...that is TO.DIE.FOR. Cheese, Fruit, Crab, Beef, Chicken, Pasta, Salad...anything you want. It's REALLY good.
Hope you have a blast kkama! » Helena

I was thinking of the Golden Nugget. THAT'S the one that's pretty run down.
The flamingo however, was really nice. I stayed there this past summer. It has a GREAT flamigo zoo (ok, so it's not a real zoo...but it's still cool) out back. There's this hotel right across from it that has 3 dollar breakfast all night long. They're food is ***awesome***. I can find out details from my mom but...yea. I had no problems with the Flamingo. » Helena

I've never been to the Aladdin or the Flamingo, but if I had to choose, I'd pick the Aladdin. I've seen them both from the outside plenty of times just diving by to go farther down the strip, and I much prefer the look of the Aladdin.
Yes! I agree with Helena; you should definately make time to go see the Blue Man Group! Its so worth it. When I get back out there in July I'm gonna try and go as soon as I can.
Re:comment, haha, yeah its a very good thing for me not to be annoyed by at least something on a Friday. So I'm glad I had a good day yesterday. And I was watching She's the Man ... the guy who plays Duke is so hot! :) » LostSoul13
